Dilip Kumar cancels his 90th birthday party

It was being said that veteran actor Dilip Kumar will celebrate his much-awaited 90th birthday in a lavish manner, but in a recent media interaction, he had slammed down such reports and said he is yet to recover from the sad demises of the legends. With so many great personalities gone in recent times, including the sad demise of the patriarch of Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackerey, the veteran Dilip Kumar will not celebrate and had even cancelled his 90th birthday. The award-winning actor, who will turn 90 on December 11, 2012, expresses that, "We are grieving the passing of Balasaheb Thackeray who I always thought was not a Tiger but a Lion... Pran admitted to Hospital due to weakness

The 92-year-old veteran actor and one of the most iconic villains in Hindi cinema, Pran, have been admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai just recently. It is being said that the actor is having a complaint of severe weakness. The actor's wife, Shukla, confirmed the above news in a recent media interaction regarding her husband, Pran, being admitted to the hospital. "He was admitted about 4 days before after he complained of weakness," said the veteran actor's wife. The award-winning actor Pran had a career spanning over six decades and has approximately acted in more than 350 movies. In 2010, he was named on the list of CNN's Top 25 Asian actors of all time. He achieved the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1997, and also in the year of 2001, he was honored with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India, for his contribution towards Indian cinema.
