Claudia Schiffer used to have her underwear stolen by crazed fans at the height of her career.

The German supermodel is famous for being one of an elite group of models who worked during the 1990s.

She counts Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell as friends, and says the experience of becoming so well known during that time helped them bond.

"It's great to be part of a group with Helena, Cindy, Christy [Turlington], Naomi, Linda [Evangelista], Stephanie [Seymour] and Eva [Herzigova]," she explained.

"At the fashion shows during the 1990s, it was completely crazy. People would steal our underwear and photograph us through a hole in the tent.

"We all grew together and formed friendships, and we've had a lot of adventures over the years, even though we were all aware there was a healthy sense of competition."

Claudia says keeping fit is a vital part of her job. She admits she works hard to say slim, explaining if she doesn't she won't fit in the clothes she has to model.

A good diet is also vital, as it keeps Claudia's energy levels high. "As for sleep, over the years I've learnt to nap on planes and to grab the chance whenever I can," she told British newspaper The Times.

Hundreds of emails and letters poured in from women overwhelmed with joy at *seeing a normal body in a magazine.

‘Seeing someone not airbrushed, with an average looking body, compared to all those stick-thin pictures of perfection — I guess people thought: ‘‘Wow! This girl looks like me,’’ ’ says Lizzie.

‘It really struck a chord. The work flooded in, with lucrative contracts with American and Italian fashion labels.’

Ironically, it was the public reaction that helped Lizzie finally accept her own body in all its curvy glory.

‘The part of myself I was most insecure about was my stomach,’ she says. ‘My weight has been an issue I’ve struggled with all my life. But the response I got made me realise other people out there felt like me.

‘One girl wrote to me to say her sister had told her she was fat and ugly all her life. Now, when she feels bad about herself, she goes to her computer, looks at a picture of me and she feels better.

The pair grew close while shooting movie Dark Tide in South Africa together. They are said to have become inseparable on set, and have now been seen canoodling in Olivier's home town. They spent time exploring Paris together, with Olivier keen to show Halle some of his favourite parts of the French city.

"It was the classic 'I'm going to kiss you here in a dark corner' move," a source said after seeing the pair smooching. "And she was waiting to be kissed."

The couple perused a flea market on Sunday afternoon, taking in the stalls with their arms around each other. They are appeared comfortable and relaxed in each other's company, with Halle often flirting with the hunk.

"They were both smiling and laughing," a source told People magazine. "Their body language was very flirtatious. They definitely seemed like a couple - absolutely looked like more than friends."

The pair travelled around on Olivier's motorbike, and dined at the Casa Bini restaurant. Olivier then treated Halle to a short tour of the sites in the St. Germain area, after which the couple were seen smooching in a doorway for several minutes.

Olivier has been romantically linked to several of his co-stars in the past, including Angelina Jolie, Mira Sorvino, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Juliette Binoche. He had a long-term relationship with Australian singer Kylie Minogue and helped her during her battle with breast cancer.

Mandakini was born in an Anglo Indian family in Meerut. Her mother is a Hindu and her father is English.

At 16 she was cast in the lead role in Raj Kapoor's 1985 movie, Ram Teri Ganga Maili opposite his youngest son, Rajiv Kapoor. The movie was a hit, and it earned Mandakini a Filmfare nomination as Best Actress.[2]. The film also caused a stir because of two scenes - one in which Mandakini bathes in a waterfall wearing only a flimsy white saree through which her breasts were clearly visible, and another in which she was shown breast-feeding a child. Some critics claimed that the scenes were vulgar and exploitative, and were used to get around the Indian Film Censor Board's stringent rules against nudity. Kapoor, as usual, defended the inclusion of the scenes stating that they were tasteful.

Mandakini acted in a few more successful films, such as Dance Dance, with Mithun Chakraborty and Pyaar Karke Dekho with Govinda, but never managed to recreate the success of her first movie.

In 1994, photographs began circulating of Mandakini in the presence of dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim. Rumors had already been doing the rounds that the two were having an affair, and the photos only served to fuel them. One of the theories put forward was that Ibrahim, who was known to have a keen interest in Bollywood and had even financed movies, had pressured Rishi Kapoor into casting Mandakini, and she was actually his mistress. Later, it was alleged that she had even moved to Dubai to be with him.

Mandakini vehemently denied all rumours linking her to Dawood.[3] While she admitted to knowing him and being on friendly terms with him, she claimed that they did not know each other personally, let alone being a couple.She also pointed out that she had been married to R. Thakur, a doctor in Mumbai, and even gave birth to a son in 1995.

Mandakini's career suffered a serious setback. She quit movies after Zordaar in 1996, and has lived in Mumbai Andheri since, with her husband and children. Since then, she has made attempts to reinvent herself. She released two pop music albums - No Vacancy and Shambala - neither of which was a success.

Currently, she runs classes in Tibetan yoga and is a follower of the Dalai Lama. Along with her husband, she runs a centre for Tibetan medicine, which is commonly known as the Tibetan Herbal Centre in the area.

In January 2010 her husband confirmed that Mandakini would be co-directing an English film with him.

Gail, 39, who suffered alopecia and was bald for several years, said she agreed to strip off to show she was finally comfortable in her own skin.

The presenter, whose hair is now growing back, was asked to recreate the famous shot for Now magazine to celebrate her new found confidence.
