But Robbie Williams has now thanked his new wife for 'making him a better person' and helping him turn his life around.

The 36-year-old singer tied the knot with U.S. actress Ayda Field in California on Saturday.

The star has also revealed details of the ceremony at their £12million Beverly Hills home, which saw him take to the stage to sing a version of his own hit song, Angels, in front of a handful of gathered guests.

Speaking in Hello! magazine, Williams said: 'Ayda looked the most beautiful girl in the world. The setting was so magical and to be surrounded by family and close friends and then see Ayda appear looking so radiant was almost too much for me to take. I'm the happiest man alive.
